Katie has lived in Bozeman since she was in middle school. She graduated from Bozeman High School, and it was during her first year atMontana State University that she decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She began volunteering at PETS in 2013 while a full time pre-vet student, and was soon hired on as a technician. In 2015, Katie earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biotechnology - Animal Systems, and was accepted into the Washington State University Veterinary School.
Katie still can be found working at PETS during her summer breaks from Veterinary School. Her favorite parts of the job are the fast paced environment and the unpredictability of emergency medicine. She is also a night owl, so loves the night shift hours. When she isn’t studying, Katie likes to spend her time playing board and card games, eating sushi, reading Science fiction fantasy, and watching Netflix with Watson, her miniature Schnauzer.
